Lakeview Marine is seeking a reliable and experienced Engine Mechanic to join our growing team. This full-time, in-person role is ideal for a hands-on technician with a strong mechanical background and a passion for the marine industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of marine engines and related systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain inboard, outboard, and PWC (personal watercraft) engines using manufacturer-specific tools and software.

  • Perform seasonal maintenance services, engine rebuilds, fuel system repairs, and general troubleshooting across a variety of engine types.

  • Accurately document repair orders, parts used, and diagnostic results in compliance with company standards.

  • Communicate effectively with the service writer and customers regarding diagnostics, repair timelines, and cost estimates.

  • Participate in ongoing manufacturer training programs to stay current with new technologies and best practices.

  • Follow proper safety protocols when working with flammable materials, electrical systems, and moving equipment.

  • Collaborate with parts and service departments to ensure efficient workflow and order fulfillment.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment including routine shop equipment checks and maintenance.

  • Assist with rigging and de-rigging of boats, test runs, and water trials as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience in marine, automotive, or powersports environments (required).

  • Certification in Seadoo, WaveRunner, inboard/outboard engines or willingness to pursue certification (preferred).

  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, engine schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Positive attitude and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to participate in ongoing manufacturer education and certification programs.

  • Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Port Perry, ON before starting work.

Lakeview Marine is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Retail Service Associate to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring excellent customer service by assisting customers with parts inquiries, processing orders, and supporting day-to-day retail operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound phone calls in a professional and timely manner, assisting with parts inquiries and service-related questions.
  • Search and order boat parts and accessories based on customer or technician requests using manufacturer catalogs, databases, and online systems.
  • Provide accurate information on part availability, pricing, estimated arrival dates, and compatibility based on boat make, model, and year.
  • Follow up on backordered or special-order items, ensuring timely communication with customers regarding status updates.
  • Maintain organized records of orders, returns, and inventory transactions using internal systems or point-of-sale software.
  • Work with the service department to supply needed parts for ongoing repair jobs and coordinate order priorities.
  • Assist walk-in customers in the retail area with parts purchases, boating accessories, and general product knowledge.
  • Receive and stock inventory shipments, sign for mail deliveries, verify part numbers and quantities, and keep the parts area clean and well-organized.
  • Handle returns or warranty items, ensuring proper documentation and resolution in line with vendor policies.
